Goldilocks Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Educator to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for early years education who enjoys supporting children in their learning and development. You will help provide a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the EYFS framework and statutory guidance
- Support daily routines and ensure a safe, positive, and nurturing nursery environment
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and team members through clear and effective communication
- Observe, assess, and record children’s developmental progress
- Lead activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safeguarding, health & safety
- Encourage and support parental involvement in their child’s learning and development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement across the nursery
Requirements & Experience
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or a related field (essential)
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
- Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred
- Ability to work confidently as part of a team while also using your own initiative
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
- A genuine passion for early years education and child development
- A positive, caring, and proactive approach to working with young children
