Business Development Manager – Health and Social Care

Salary: £38,000–£42,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, part-time or job share
Part-time and job-share salaries will be paid pro rata.
True Care 247 is a family-run, CQC-registered care provider offering home care, supported living, complex care and community-based support.
We are looking for an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager to help us secure new care packages, develop strong partnerships and grow our services.
Main responsibilities
- Identify and secure new care packages and business opportunities
- Build strong relationships with commissioners, social workers, local authorities, ICBs, case managers and other social care decision-makers
- Develop opportunities within home care, supported living, complex care and private care
- Monitor local authority portals, frameworks, tenders and referral opportunities
- Prepare expressions of interest, proposals and tender submissions
- Attend meetings, networking events and provider forums
- Develop relationships with private clients, families and professional referral partners
- Maintain an active business development pipeline
- Provide regular updates on leads, referrals, new packages and business growth
- Work closely with the Registered Manager and operational team to ensure new packages can be delivered safely and effectively
Essential requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- Previous business development experience within health and social care
- A proven track record of securing care packages, contracts or new business
- Strong connections with commissioners, social workers, local authorities and social care decision-makers
- Thorough knowledge of the home care, supported living or complex care sector
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and the fundamental standards
- Knowledge of local authority commissioning, tenders, frameworks and referral processes
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed growth targets
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable experience
- Existing professional contacts across Greater Manchester, Warrington or Cheshire
- Experience working with NHS commissioners, ICBs, case managers and private clients
- Experience preparing tender submissions and expressions of interest
- Understanding of pricing, staffing requirements and the mobilisation of new care packages
