Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team on a subcontractor basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves working with various plants, flowers, and landscapes, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and thriving.
Duties
- Assist in the growing of plants, flowers, and vegetables, ensuring optimal conditions for growth.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding to keep outdoor areas tidy.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Conduct regular groundskeeping duties to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property including mowing strimming etc.
- Monitor plant health and identify any issues such as pests or diseases, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute garden layouts and seasonal planting strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in gardening is beneficial.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for working outdoors is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently throughout the day.
- Relevant insurances for self employment.
