Care Assistant – Brecon and Surrounding Areas
Join the team at Phoenix Homecare and Support and make a real difference in your community.
Phoenix Homecare and Support is a family-run company that is big enough to provide strong support to both clients and staff, yet small enough to truly care. Our goal is to help the people we support remain comfortable, independent, and safe in their own homes rather than moving into residential care or hospital.
We have a dedicated, friendly and caring team working across Brecon and the surrounding areas. Care is a truly rewarding career where every day you help improve someone’s quality of life. If you enjoy helping others and want to be part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.
What the Role Involves
No two days are the same when working in care. As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals in their own homes with a variety of tasks that help them maintain independence.

- Providing personal care such as helping someone shower, dress, and prepare for the day
- Light housekeeping including cleaning and laundry
- Assisting or reminding clients to take medication
- Helping clients stay independent in their homes
- Providing companionship and reducing loneliness through conversation and activities such as reading, knitting, gardening, board games or simply enjoying a cup of tea together
