We are a rapidly expanding truck sales, parts and vehicle customisation business based in Forgandenny, Perthshire, supplying customers throughout the UK.
With increasing numbers of in-house customer truck builds, growing daily product dispatches and the launch of our online store within the next few months, we're looking to recruit an organised and motivated Parts & Stock Controller to become a key member of our team.
This is an important role within the business, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and organisation of our stock, from goods arriving into the warehouse through to parts being allocated to customer orders and our own in-house truck builds.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping things organised and accurate, is comfortable using computer systems and is willing to take ownership of their role.
Previous experience within a parts department, stores, stock control or warehouse environment would be highly desirable, particularly within the commercial vehicle, haulage or agricultural sectors.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day management and control of stock within the warehouse
- Using the Unleashed stock management system to maintain accurate stock records
- Being accountable for stock accuracy and ensuring products are correctly located and recorded
- Processing and managing purchase orders (POs)
- Ordering parts and products from suppliers as required
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, availability and deliveries
- Managing goods in and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders
- Checking off, booking in and correctly allocating parts as they arrive
- Ensuring stock is stored correctly and the warehouse and parts racking remain well organised
- Carrying out regular stock takes and investigating any stock discrepancies
- Picking, packing and dispatching daily customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Preparing and assigning parts and accessories for upcoming in-house customer truck builds
- Ensuring parts required for scheduled truck builds are picked and ready ahead of the vehicle arriving
- Working with the wider team to ensure the correct products are available for workshop requirements
- Learning the application and use of our extensive range of truck lighting, accessories and engineered components
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the business and helping ensure both customer orders and workshop requirements are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Assisting with customer enquiries and sales when required, particularly during periods when other members of the team are attending customer visits, exhibitions or working away from the office
- Getting involved in other areas of the business whenever required
As our business continues to expand into the agricultural sector, we'll also be supplying lighting, accessories and engineered parts for agricultural machinery. An interest in both commercial vehicles and agricultural equipment would therefore be a real advantage.
