Job Overview
We are seeking a positive, patient focused and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team at Masons Chemists. We are a small family pharmacy group with 5 pharmacies across the North West of Leicestershire with sites in Ratby, Markfield, Coalville, Hugglescote and our head office branch at Whtiwick. Working with our great team of pharmacists, our store managers and our fabulous support team including several ACTs, we are looking for a pharmacist to join our team of relief pharmacists providing regular set day cover in our branches- mainly working as a second pharmacist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medication management and patient care, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing valuable support to both patients and healthcare professionals and work with the wider team to support our patients.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clinical services as part of our NHS contract
- Provide expert advice on medication administration and potential side effects to patients and healthcare providers.
- Support the development of the wider team
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication therapy management.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage, adherence strategies, and lifestyle modifications to enhance health outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical guidelines.
Qualifications/Experience
- A valid pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Strong knowledge of community pharmacy and advanced services
- A passion for delivering services- in particular vaccination services, PGD services, NMS, DMS and all NHS contracted services
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient focused

The working pattern would be on a fortnightly rotation and include a minimum of 3.5 days one week and 4-4.5 days the following week (to include a mimimum of one saturday morning per fortnight).
We would consider motivated less experienced pharmacists for this role. Our maximum hourly rate is £26.70 per hour for a relief pharmacist which when holiday/pension and benefits are considered give an equivalent locum rate of over £32/hr
