Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to ensure high standards of taste and appearance
- Support the cooking process by following recipes, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards
- Prepare ingredients, salads, snacks, and light meals in accordance with dietary requirements
- Serve meals to residents with friendly professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment in line with food safety regulations
- Help with stock management by checking supplies, labeling ingredients, and notifying supervisors of shortages
- Follow all health and safety procedures to uphold a safe kitchen environment at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene protocols
- Experience in meal serving within a care or hospitality setting is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
