Security Officer
Location: Catalent Pharma Solutions, Frankland Road, Blagrove, Swindon, Wiltshire SN5 8RU
Hours: Full time – 42 hours per week (4 on / 4 off)
Pay: £14.09 per hour

What you’ll do:

Act as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring a professional and secure front-of-house presence

Control access and egress to site, verifying identification and ensuring full compliance with security protocols and site procedures

Conduct regular internal and external patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter and detect security risks

Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and security equipment, responding promptly to any suspicious activity or breaches

Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and alarm activations, following escalation procedures where required

Enforce company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations, ensuring full compliance at all times

Carry out searches, inspections, and audits in line with site requirements and regulatory standards

Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and shift handovers

Support business continuity by working collaboratively with site teams and emergency services when required
What you’ll bring:

A valid and in-date SIA Licence (essential)
-
Proven experience in a corporate, pharmaceutical, or high-security environment (desirable)

Strong understanding of security operations, procedures, and compliance standards

Excellent observation skills and attention to detail

Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to incidents and emergency situations

Confident communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels

A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach

Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
