MULTI TRADE OPERATIVE

Taking pride in our workmanship, we deliver in a wide range of social housing sectors. We are now looking to expand our team’s skill set to encompass multi trades.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated multi-trade operative(s) to join our dedicated field team based in North Hampshire and West Berkshire and help us deliver top rate service to our housing association client.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who is as good with people as they are with tools. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of experience in a similar social or residential housing role, alongside a strong, versatile multi-trade skillset such as carpentry, plumbing, or tiling . Because you will be working in people’s homes, your ability to communicate respectfully and professionally is just as vital as your technical expertise. We require someone with a high standard of workmanship, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to solve problems on the fly. You will also ideally hold a relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications and will hold a full UK driving license.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completing full refurbishment works within void social-housing properties
- Removing and installing kitchens
- Fitting kitchen units, worktops, doors, plinths and ironmongery
- Removing and installing bathrooms
- Installing toilets, basins, baths, showers, taps and wastes
- Completing basic plumbing alterations and repairs
- Carpentry, including doors, frames, skirting and architraves, window and door lock replacements
- Wall tiling
- Plaster patching and general making good
- Painting and decorating
- Installing vinyl or laminate flooring
- Silicone sealing and final finishing
- Minor general building and property repairs
- Completing snagging works
- Leaving properties clean and ready for client handover
- Taking clear before, during and after photographs
- Completing job records via app’s and QA information
- Reporting additional works and variations before proceeding
- Working to agreed void turnaround times and quality standards

Experience required:
At least three years of experience in a similar social or residential housing role.
Strong, versatile multi-trade skillset, specifically in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, or tiling.
A high standard of workmanship.
A safety-first mindset.
Ability to problem solve.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to act respectfully and professionally when working in people's homes.
Qualifications:
Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications - desired
Must hold a full UK driving license - essential
