Job Overview
Haemorrhoid Centre specialises in non-surgical electrotherapy for haemorrhoids. We are seeking a GMC-registered practitioner preferable Colorectal surgeon to deliver haemorrhoids treatment based on electrotherapy. Device training and protocols provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct focused consultation and examination; obtain informed consent.
- Perform non-invasive electrotherapy for haemorrhoids.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records and coding.
- Uphold infection-prevention measures and safe use of single-use consumables.
- Escalate/red-flag where appropriate; liaise with GP/secondary care if required.
- Contribute to audit, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Full GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK.
- Medical indemnity suitable for private practice.
- Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain).
- Confident with anorectal assessment; excellent communication and bedside manner.
- Strong documentation discipline and adherence to clinical governance.
Desirable Experience
- Prior experience in haemorrhoid management (e.g., banding, sclerotherapy, electrotherapy) or colorectal outpatient work.
- Experience with bowel disease pathways, triage, and safety-netting.
- Interest in service development, patient education, and audit.
