Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and materials. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues such as leaks or blockages and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems for new installations or refurbishments.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and mechanical principles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic carpentry techniques.
- Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices within the industry.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in plumbing or related trades are preferred but not mandatory.
