7.5 Tonne Driver / Warehouse Operative (HGV / LGV C1)
Location: Amari Plastics, unit 2, Monkton Business Park North, Mill Lane, Hebburn NE31 2JZ
Salary: £31,246 per year + Overtime (OT) + Annual Profit Share Bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm (6-month probationary period)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break daily)
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
About the Role
Amari Plastics is seeking a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne Driver (Category C1) to join our team in Hebburn.
This is primarily a driving role, with daily deliveries to customers across the region. When delivery schedules allow, you will support our warehouse team with picking, packing, loading, unloading and general warehouse duties. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable behind the wheel and working as part of a busy warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with UK road traffic legislation and transport regulations.
- Complete daily customer deliveries and collections in a timely and professional manner.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety and defect inspections.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured before transit.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
- Support warehouse operations when not undertaking driving duties, including:
- Picking and packing customer orders.
- Goods receiving and checking deliveries.
- Stock movement and replenishment.
- General warehouse housekeeping.
- Assisting with loading outbound vehicles.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK Driving Licence with Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) entitlement.
- Valid Driver CPC (Driver Qualification Card).
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving a 7.5 Tonne vehicle.
- Comfortable carrying out warehouse duties when not driving.
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safe driving and workplace safety.
Desirable
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or experience.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- Knowledge of safe loading practices.
