Job Title: Interim non-UK Payroll Partner (4 month contract)
Location: London
Reports To: Head of Payroll and Group HR Manager
Job Summary
To manage the end to end payroll processes for all the Nexus group, including any statutory reports and returns.
To manage the benefits schemes in place and ensure timely enrolment of new joiners and changes to the schemes
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the in-house payroll system effectively and efficiently
- Ensure that payments to individuals are made in a timely manner in accordance to the individual contractual terms
- To manage the non UK based payrolls in conjunction with the local payroll providers, these include New York; Hong Kong; France; Germany
- To complete any statutory returns or year end reporting both for UK and Internal payrolls where appropriate in a timely and efficient manner
- To provide advice and support to the company and employees on any payroll matters
- To ensure that payroll files and kept and maintained in conjunction with any Company, statutory and/or regulatory requirements
- Manage the apprenticeship levy scheme
- Create payroll processes and policies as required and ensure these are kept updated and user friendly
- Work with our pensions and benefits provider to administer and manage the current and future employee benefits offering; providing advice on alternatives or enhancements to the current offering
- To ensure any risk or legislative change is flagged to the People Experience Team.
- Adhoc project work as new companies are acquired
Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience
Qualifications
- GCSE level or equivalent Maths and English
- Appropriate Payroll qualification or qualification by experience
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ideally experience of using the payroll systems Cascade
- Working knowledge of other Microsoft office packages
Knowledge / Experience
- Knowledge and experience of payroll migration ideal but not essential
- International experience preferred but not essential
- Working knowledge and understand of relevant pay/ employment legislation
- Experience of setting up and administering salary sacrifice schemes
- Employee benefits experience
- Experience of managing acquisitions and associated payrolls
