Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and supportive environment for all residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Implement individual care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each resident's needs are met.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere within the care home.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff member
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
- Monitoring residents overnight and meet their needs
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members.
- Computer literate
