HGV Driver: Category ‘C’
Permanent / Full Time hours / Ref: HGV/PM/07/26
Hours: PM Shift (3pm start) Monday-Friday
Base location: Duncrue Street, Belfast
We are currently looking for full time HGV Drivers (C) to join our busy teams at our site in Belfast. As a Driver you will be required to complete multi drop deliveries and collections throughout NI. The Driver will also be required to collect and move commercial containers when required.
As a PM shift Drivers, you will start at 3pm based from Duncrue site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
- Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
- Follow all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
- Working collaboratively with the transport team to ensure excellent operational service is maintained, and continually improved
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Undertake all necessary training, & cooperate with the security clearance process as required
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Essential Criteria
- Must hold a valid HGV licence – Category ‘C’,
- Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max of 6 penalty points)
- Security Clearances
- Ability to undertake manual work
- Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finish times, weekends, and bank holidays
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team Player
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules, and regulations
Desirable Criteria
- Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience
- Previous experience working in the waste industry

- Competitive Hourly Rate – Competitive Hourly Rate – £16.22ph + 15.4% for hours after 3pm
