Join our small, friendly kitchen team cooking for 19 residents in our not for profit care home
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support food safety practices by properly handling ingredients, storing supplies correctly, and adhering to hygiene protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service and high-quality food delivery
- Serve guests courteously, providing excellent customer service and responding to special requests when needed
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving residents and collaborating with team members
- Prior experience in meal preparation and culinary tasks is highly desirable
- Availability for regular weekends preferred
Pay: £14.54-£14.93 per hour
