Staff Resources Ltd has a crucial opportunity for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Salford. Job Overview and Duties
The post-holder is expected to demonstrate our values in their daily duties:
- Compassion & Respect: Treat all Service Users, families, and staff with dignity and respect, prioritising empathy and understanding in all interactions. You will provide respectful personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) and build meaningful rapport.
- Excellence & Integrity: Provide high-quality care in accordance with current best practices, maintaining all Care Plans/care records/ Handover accurately and operating with honesty and transparency.
- Empowerment: Focus on empowering young Service Users to make informed choices about their care, promoting their independence, self-determination, and confidence.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, families, and the multi-disciplinary team, recognising that working together maximises opportunities and provides holistic support.
- Safeguarding: Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals supported, recognising and reporting situations where there might be a need for protection.
- Clinical Support: Administer medication following Staff Resources policies and provide care and support for young people with additional support needs.
- Professionalism: Attend all statutory training and any other training as directed by management to maintain skills at a current level.
Requirement
Essential
- Previous experience working in a similar environment, specifically with children or young people
- Experience of working with Service Users that may have additional support needs
Skills & Specific Requirements
Desirable
- RQF Diploma Level2/ 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Skills & Specific Requirements
- Good English: Proficient written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to build strong personal connections and use alternative communication methods as needed.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Must be able to adapt and address situations quickly.
- Driving Licence: A Manual driving licence is required for this role.
- Flexibility: Essential ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Waking Night Duties.
