The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment
We are The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment. Individually, our departments lead their fields. In partnership, they develop new responses to pressing world issues. As a whole, they represent a world-leading, multidisciplinary faculty, united by the radical spirit of UCL. Our vision is of a world where everything that’s built aims to add to the well-being of people and the environment.
The Research and Impact Team is a team of five professional services colleagues, led by the Head of R&I. As part of the Bartlett faculty office, it supports, develops, and sustains the vibrancy of the Bartlett’s research and impact environments. It does this by leading on strategic faculty projects, creating and deploying cross-faculty infrastructure, and developing and sharing our knowledge and expertise. R&I works in tandem with the faculty’s professional services and academic leadership, UCL’s professional services community, and colleagues across our nine departments to create the conditions for our collective research and impact environments to be equitable, rigorous, connected, and dynamic.
Through our services and principles of transparency, equity, accuracy, and reflection, R&I develops and sustains research and impact environments that inspire our colleagues and empowers them to create important and impactful research and partnerships.
