What are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to support delivery within our product-led operating model. You will work as part of cross-functional Product Squads, helping define and deliver features that enhance customer outcomes and support measurable business value.
As a Business Analyst at Perch Group, you’ll work as an integral member of a Product Squad -collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, and Designers to define, refine, and support delivery of features within the product roadmap.
You’ll take a structured, insight-driven approach to understanding business and customer needs, translating them into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria. The role blends traditional analytical rigour with Agile delivery practices, supporting iterative and continuous delivery of value.
The ideal candidate will bring experience working in change, product, or delivery environments, with an understanding of Agile frameworks, backlog management, and evidence-based decision-making.

So, what will your day-to-day look like?
Agile Product Delivery
- Work within a Product Squad to deliver features and enhancements aligned to the product roadmap.
- Support Product Owners in defining and refining epics, features, and user stories — ensuring alignment with agreed business priorities and customer needs.
- Create clear acceptance criteria, supporting Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) standards.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews to ensure delivery focus and quality outcomes.
Business Analysis Standards & Ways of Working
- Apply agreed business analysis standards, templates, and ways of working across assigned initiatives.
- Use structured analysis techniques to support clear requirements definition within Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Contribute to a product-led delivery approach by supporting iterative, outcome-focused analysis.
- Ensure analysis outputs are clear, traceable, and aligned with regulatory and compliance expectations where relevant.
Discovery & Definition
- Conduct data analysis, process reviews, and stakeholder interviews to understand business challenges and user needs.
- Translate findings into actionable insights that shape epics, features, and user stories.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to validate user journeys and ensure requirements reflect the end-to-end customer experience.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Promote iterative improvement through feedback loops, retrospectives, and metrics such as cycle time and feature adoption.
- Ensure transparency and traceability of requirements through backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Contribute ideas to improve analysis and delivery processes across squads.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Collaborate with other Business Analysts and delivery colleagues to share knowledge, insight, and good practice.
- Contribute to the use of shared templates and consistent approaches for user story mapping and backlog refinement.
- Stay aware of relevant tools, techniques, and Agile practices that support effective business analysis.

Essential
Agile Business Analysis
- Proven experience in Agile or hybrid product environments.
- Strong understanding of epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Skilled in backlog management, story refinement, and supporting prioritisation.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Experience partnering with Product Owners, Developers, Designers, and Business Stakeholders.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex needs into clear, actionable stories.
- Able to balance customer, business, and technical needs using evidence and analysis.
Analytical & Problem-Solving
- Strong analytical skills, including root-cause analysis, impact assessment, and solution definition.
- Experience with data interpretation, process analysis, and translating insights into backlog items.
- Competent with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and Visio.
Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Experience working in Agile squads, transformation, or iterative delivery environments.
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, sprint ceremonies, and Agile governance.
- Passion for continuous improvement, retrospectives, and feedback-driven optimisation.
Desirable
- Experience producing requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and analysis documentation.
- BCS Foundation, BCS Diploma in Business Analysis, or equivalent qualification.
- Agile certification such as Certified Agile Business Analyst, Product Owner, or SAFe Practitioner.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
- Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, cross-functional teams while linking features and stories to clear business value.
The Application Timeline
- A first stage video call with the internal talent acquisition team (15-minutes)
- An introductory call with the hiring manager via Teams (30 minutes)
- A final interview with the hiring manager and executive member(60 minutes)
