You will support people through hands-on activities including gardening, woodworking, creative projects and everyday learning. At Creative Savvy, we grow produce in our allotment-style garden and create handmade wooden products from recycled pallets.
This role would suit someone who is patient, encouraging and confident supporting others to try new things. You do not need previous social care experience, as full training and development will be provided.
What You’ll Do:
· Support and inspire individuals with learning disabilities in creative activities, gardening, woodworking, and practical life skills
- Help build confidence, independence, and workplace skills
- Be a positive role model and create a supportive, encouraging environment
· Work three days per week during daytime hours: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Promote teamwork, life skills, and personal development
· Transport clients safely to and from centres, using your own vehicle with appropriate business insurance
· Hourly pay and mileage begin from the point clients are collected; travel to and from clients’ homes is not paid
Why Join Us?
· A rewarding job where your support helps people gain confidence and independence
· A supportive team and welcoming workplace
· Varied, creative and practical activities, including gardening and woodworking
· Full training provided, so social care experience is not essential
· Permanent part-time work with family-friendly daytime hours
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for making a difference
· Comfortable working outdoors and supporting practical, creative activities
· Experience or interest in gardening, woodworking, crafts, or supporting adults with learning disabilities
- A friendly, motivating presence with a can-do attitude
· A full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and business insurance are essential, as the role includes transporting clients and covering across centres
· This role is subject to a standard DBS check and satisfactory references
What matters most is your attitude. We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable, patient and willing to learn. If you enjoy helping people, being creative and working as part of a team, this could be the right role for you.
