We are seeking a Station Interface Manager to manage the effective coordination of project and operational interfaces within a live station environment, supporting a strong safety culture in line with Network Rail's health, safety and environmental standards. The role, based in London Liverpool Street station will act as the single point of contact for the Station Manager, minimising disruption to customers, retailers and stakeholders while maintaining contractual service delivery. You will oversee the phasing of works, advise contractors on station procedures, manage interfaces with route and territory teams, and carry out non-technical compliance checks to ensure safe, efficient project delivery and effective handover of health, safety and maintenance documentation.
Every day will be different, but key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the interfaces between projects, to contribute to an effective safety culture on the station, in compliance with Network Rail's health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Manage operational interfaces between projects and the operation and use of the station to minimise disruption to beneficiaries, retailers, occupiers, customers and the public.
- Act as the single point of contact for the Station Manager for co-ordinating with the Station Enhancement Project.
- Manage project interfaces to maintain contractual delivery of service to Network Rail's customers.
- Advise contractors and project managers of station procedures, checking that work instructions are consistent with these and other activities and projects on the station.
- Agree the phasing of works and the necessary controls needed to minimise conflict between operational and commercial activity.
- Manage the interface between projects and route/territory teams regarding performance issues, to achieve project progress and minimise disruption to the railway.
- Carry out non-technical checks of works in progress, in conjunction with duty managers and the station manager and inform the appropriate Network Rail manager, if non-compliance with Landlord's Approval Conditions is identified.
- Inform the relevant departments of hand back meetings, particularly for the direct handover of Health & Safety and maintenance documentation.
We follow a structured pay framework: Band 4B; Salary range: £35,582 - £42,218

We are looking for someone who meets the below essential criteria:
- Experience in a station environment
- Direct experience of station management operations
- Project management experience
- Railway operations and maintenance skills
- Ability to gain safety management qualification *
It's not essential, but we would love it if you have:
- Educated to A level or equivalent
- Knowledge of Construction, Design and Management Regulations
- Report writing skills
- Ability to negotiate
