Care Support Worker
Location: Crediton
Hours: 39 hours per week to include 1 sleep in
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Shift Pattern: Days / evenings / weekends on a rota basis
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Service: Residential care / supported living for adults with learning disabilities
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and responsible Care Support Worker to join our care team on a full-time basis, working 36 hours per week + 1 sleep.
This is an important role supporting adults with learning disabilities to live safely, confidently and as independently as possible. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive and upbeat attitude, and is capable of completing their duties to a high standard.
The people we support deserve consistent, caring and committed staff who genuinely want to make a difference. This role would suit someone who is kind, trustworthy, patient, observant and able to work well as part of a team.

Key Duties
As a Care Support Worker, your duties will include:
- Supporting residents with daily living skills.
- Assisting with personal care where required.
- Supporting individuals with meals, drinks and medication routines.
- Encouraging independence, choice and dignity.
- Supporting residents with activities, appointments and community access.
- Helping to create a safe, clean and homely environment.
- Building positive relationships with the people we support.
- Completing accurate daily notes, records and handovers.
- Reporting any concerns to senior staff or management.
- Following safeguarding, medication, health and safety, and infection control procedures.
Experience
Previous experience in care, learning disabilities, supported living or residential care is preferred, but the right attitude is just as important.
Full training can be provided for the right person.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and professional attitude.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
