Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will deliver the highest level of deep cleaning service for the factory areas to include sweeping, mopping, cleaning walls, floors and machinery.
Hours of work are Sunday to Wednesday (nights only), 18:00am to 06:00am.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in industrial cleaning in a manufacturing environment; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; high attention to detail; flexible and reliable; team player but also able to work on own initiative; and be physically fit (bending and lifting required). Plus, a Powered Access Licence (PAL) to operate MEWP in the UK desirable but full training will be given.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Work efficiently and productively to ensure all production areas are cleaned in accordance with cleaning schedule.
- Operating mobile elevating work platform to reach high levels.
- Responsible, disciplined and self-motivated to ensure all work is completely correctly without constant supervisory attention.
- Report any damage, issues or incidents to the manager in a timely manner to enable support and corrective actions.
- Use chemicals and tools provided correctly and effectively to ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly.
- Understand importance of hygiene in a food safety production environment.
- Work with Production Team to ensure hygiene work is carried out with consideration for any continuing production activities.
- Ensure ongoing and continuous improvement of hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleaning products and equipment is stored in correct area.
- Monitor and manage stock and supplies of cleaning equipment.
- Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Understanding of COSHH.
