St Mary's Partnership is seeking to appoint a reliable, professional and enthusiastic Minibus and Electric Vehicle Driver to support transport requirements across the Southampton-based Partnership, primarily at St Mary's CE Primary School.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of pupils and staff, supporting a range of educational, extracurricular and operational activities. This position requires a flexible approach, with hours varying according to the needs of the Partnership. There may also be opportunities for regular scheduled hours where ongoing transport requirements exist.
The postholder may be required to work across a number of schools and sites within the Partnership to support operational needs.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- A full, clean UK driving licence (with MIDAS qualification desirable)
- Where a candidate does not currently hold a MIDAS qualification, the school will arrange and fund the necessary training prior to commencement.
- Excellent reliability, punctuality and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
- A flexible and positive approach to working hours and operational requirements.
- Previous experience of driving minibuses, coaches or passenger vehicles would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A willingness to undertake relevant training.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
