In a leafy parkland setting on the outskirts of Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, Burhill Golf Club has two spectacular golf courses offering a challenging and diverse experience for the seasoned golfer.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our friendly and professional team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys leading a team and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our bars, restaurant and hospitality areas, ensuring our members and guests receive a consistently high standard of service.
You will work closely with the Floor Manager and wider management team to ensure smooth service, support and develop our team members, and maintain the high standards expected at Burhill Golf Club.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting the Food & Beverage team during daily operations and events.
- Leading by example and ensuring consistently high standards of customer service.
- Allocating staff to different areas and ensuring the team is fully prepared for each service.
- Supporting the Floor Manager and Event Manger with the day-to-day running of the F&B operation.
- Training, coaching and developing team members to help them reach their full potential.
- Ensuring all staff follow company policies, procedures and service standards.
- Monitoring service levels and responding professionally to member and guest feedback.
- Assisting with the opening and closing of the Clubhouse and ensuring all areas are ready for service.
- Supporting stock control, deliveries, cellar management and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Ensuring bars, restaurant and service areas are clean, organised and presented to a high standard.
- Supporting the delivery of golf days, functions, weddings, private events and other Club activities.
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and efficient service.
- Dealing with customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and positive manner.
- Ensuring health & safety, food hygiene and licensing requirements are followed.
- Assisting with cash handling and end-of-shift procedures where required.
- Taking ownership of your responsibilities and supporting the wider team during busy periods.

Hospitality and supervisory experience is preferred, but we are also interested in hearing from candidates who have strong customer service and leadership experience and are looking to take the next step in their hospitality career.
Training and development will be provided throughout your time at the Club.
