Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring the integrity of the goods during transit
- Plan optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete necessary documentation accurately
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers upon delivery, addressing any questions or concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably be physically fit with commercial driving backgrounds
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a plus
- Strong understanding of driving safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices or route planning tools
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service
