Santa’s Secret Forest is an immersive Christmas experience like no other combining festive wonder, theatrical storytelling, interactive technology, and timeless tradition to create magical memories for thousands of families.
Role Overview
As a Principal Performer, You’ll guide families through magical moments, lead key scenes, and ensure every interaction feels personal, engaging, and believable. This is a dynamic, performance-led role requiring strong character work, adaptability, and stamina.
You’ll be equally confident holding a room, improvising with guests, and transitioning between different scenes and roles, all while maintaining the highest standards of performance and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Performance & Storytelling:
Deliver engaging, high-energy performances within key scenes, combining scripted material with confident improvisation. Hold the attention of family audiences and create memorable, magical moments.
Multi-Track Performance:
Train and perform across 2–3 different roles or rooms within the experience. Transition smoothly between tracks while maintaining clear character choices and narrative consistency.
Guest Experience:
Act as a front-line ambassador for the experience, interacting directly with children and families in character. Adapt performance style to suit different audiences and create inclusive, welcoming interactions.
Consistency & Stamina:
Maintain performance quality, energy, and focus across multiple shows per day. Reset quickly between groups and sustain a high standard throughout long shifts.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the wider cast to ensure smooth delivery of each experience. Take direction, respond to feedback, and support overall team performance.
Presentation & Character Integrity:
Maintain high standards of costume, appearance, and character immersion at all times. Fully commit to the world of the experience both on and off stage.
Person Specification - Essential:
- Previous experience in performance, visitor engagement, team leading, or events
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with children and adults alike
- Energy, humour, and reliability in high-pressure or fast-paced environments
- Strong organisational and leadership capabilities
- Available evenings/weekends during Nov–Dec
- DBS check (we can assist with processing)
Desirable:
- Theatre, events, or hospitality background
- Experience working with children, neurodiverse visitors, or in inclusive settings
- Knowledge of Christmas lore (North Pole geography, elf hierarchy, reindeer etiquette)
