Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention measures to maintain a secure environment. All duties must be performed in accordance with relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access and prevent unauthorised entry
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security threats and disorderly behaviour
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious activity and preventing theft or vandalism
- Respond promptly to incidents, including disputes or emergencies, ensuring the safety of all individuals present
- Carry out first aid if required, providing assistance until emergency services arrive
- Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly as part of ongoing security documentation
- Enforce venue policies in a professional manner while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
- Experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring procedures is desirable
- First aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and assertively
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly when required
