Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and educational activities to children within a nurturing and safe environment. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and implement engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental stages
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care at all times
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play
- Manage daily routines including meal times, rest periods, and outdoor activities
- Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and leadership as required
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and nursery procedures
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in childcare management or supervisory roles is advantageous
- Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties or errands related to nursery operations
