Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Working Foreman to oversee a full flat renovation project in Maida Vale, starting immediately. This is a key site-based role requiring a proactive individual who can manage trades, maintain high standards of workmanship, and ensure the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
The successful candidate will be an all-rounder with a strong construction background, capable of coordinating daily activities while remaining hands-on when required. You will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality refurbishment safely, on programme, and to the client's satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of a full residential flat renovation project.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour and specialist trades on site.
- Ensure works are completed to a high standard of quality and in line with project specifications.
- Monitor site progress and programme, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment at all times.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure effective communication.
- Manage deliveries, materials and site logistics.
- Keep accurate records of site activities, progress updates and any variations.
- Assist with practical site duties when required to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar role within residential construction.
- Strong all-round construction knowledge, particularly within refurbishment and renovation projects.
- Experience managing multiple trades and coordinating site activities.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements and site compliance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred.
- Valid CSCS card required.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
