Electrician – Social Housing (ECS Gold Card Essential)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established electrical contractor delivering electrical testing, compliance and maintenance services across social housing properties throughout North and East London.

The Role
Working across occupied and communal social housing properties, your duties will include:
- Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Completing C1 and C2 remedial works following inspections
- Electrical fault finding and maintenance works
- Testing and inspecting communal electrical installations
- Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults efficiently
- Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Producing accurate certification and reports
- Using handheld devices to complete job sheets and certificates
- Working in occupied properties with excellent customer service
- Liaising with tenants, supervisors and office staff
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment
- Managing your daily workload across multiple appointments
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
- Representing the business professionally on site
Essential RequirementsYou MUST hold a valid ECS Gold Card. This is a mandatory requirement for the role.
Applicants must also have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- Experience carrying out EICRs within social housing
- Experience completing C1 & C2 remedial works
- Experience with communal testing
- Experience carrying out PAT testing
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
