Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care & Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality domiciliary care and support to individuals in clients own homes or in the community. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, companionship and assistance with daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Support clients with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Assist with medication management and ensure compliance with prescribed treatments.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients effectively.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for all clients while respecting their dignity and privacy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in older people care or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of home care practices and assisted living environments is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
