Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Ofsted Registered Childminder that will be resident at setting to provide high-quality childcare in Nottingham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing and supervising children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with families, delivering personalised care in a welcoming environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to live at the premises as their residence while working as a registered childminder for this organisation.
Succcessful and qualified candidates will be supported to register as a childminder with Ofsted at this setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a safe, nurturing environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Assist children with daily routines including meals, nappy changing , sleep routine, and hygiene needs
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Support children's emotional and social development through positive interaction
- Keep the childcare environment clean, organised, and stimulating
- Follow Safeguarding rules and Paediatric First Aid training.
- Be fully knowledgeable about Early Years Framework Statutory ( EYFS)
- Full support and understanding will be give to right candidate that might want to locate from other parts of the country to Nottingham.
- Opportunity for individual or family that might want to relocate to Nottingham to run a childminding business.
- Commences Sept 2026.
Skills
- Experience in being or having worked as a registered childminder or childminder assistant or highly experienced nursery nurse that is willing to train and register as an ofsted registered childminder wirh support.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare
- Full UK Driving licence is essential for this position.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple children’s needs effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with parents and colleagues
- Ability to adapt activities to suit different age groups and individual needs
