VACANCY: General Labourer
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 07.00am - 3.00pm
PAY: £15.17 per hour.
LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

MTL Advanced is hiring due to a major expansion, marked by the opening of our brand-new manufacturing facility, based in Rotherham just 5 minutes away from Meadowhall shopping centre.

Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Maintain clean, tidy and safe work areas by carrying out regular housekeeping duties, including sweeping, removing waste materials and keeping walkways and workstations clear.
- Support basic machine care by assisting with routine cleaning, checks and general maintenance tasks in line with instructions and safe working practices. Such as, changing filters.
- Ensure tools, equipment and materials are stored correctly and made available when required to support efficient production and engineering activities.
- Identify and report hazards, faults, spillages, damage or maintenance issues promptly to the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Assist production and engineering teams with general labouring tasks, including moving materials, supporting machine operators and helping to prepare areas for work.
- Follow company procedures, health and safety requirements and site rules at all times to help maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
ABOUT YOU:
- Previous experience in a labouring role is desirable.
- A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
