Overview
We are seeking a reliable and versatile individual to undertake various odd jobs around our premises. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and capable of handling a wide range of tasks to support the smooth operation of our organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilise a broad skill set in a dynamic environment. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided where necessary.
Duties
- Performing general maintenance and repairs as required, including minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks
- Assisting with cleaning and organising communal areas and storage spaces
- Moving furniture, equipment, or supplies within the premises
- Conducting basic gardening or outdoor maintenance tasks such as lawn mowing or hedge trimming
- Collecting and delivering items across different locations within the organisation’s site
- Supporting event setup or breakdown when needed
- Responding promptly to ad hoc requests from team members to ensure operational efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or similar roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to carry out manual tasks including lifting and moving items safely
- Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and priorities as they arise
