The Kings Cow is a modern countryside inn - one that celebrates responsible farming, refined eating and the quiet comfort of generous hospitality, based in Skermitt, Henley-on-Thames.We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Waiter or Waitress to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, hands-on environment.
About the Role
This full-time position is ideal for an individual with 2–3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, preferably within a busy restaurant or pub setting. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional service, supporting daily operations, and contributing to a positive and energetic team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create memorable guest experiences
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced bar and restaurant environment
- Assist with hosting duties and help oversee smooth service
- Support menu development, including drinks and seasonal offerings
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the bar and service areas
- Ensure the venue is fully prepared for service and maintained throughout
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality
- Hands-on, proactive, and highly organised approach
- Strong ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident in taking initiative and supporting team operations
- Passion for hospitality and a commitment to high standards
