Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Part-Time School Contract Minibus Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, providing a reliable service that supports students’ daily routines. Duties
- Safely operate a minibus on designated routes, ensuring punctual pick-up and drop-off of students
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to check for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and safety equipment functionality
- Follow all traffic laws, school policies, and safety procedures during transportation duties
- Communicate clearly with school staff, students, and parents regarding schedules or any delays
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Assist students with boarding and disembarking from the minibus as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
Experience
- Private hire license
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and mechanical knowledge is advantageous
- Proven driving experience with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and safety regulations related to passenger transport
- Experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus
