About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Vehicle Body Builder to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and fitting commercial vehicle bodies to a high standard while ensuring all work meets safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble commercial vehicle bodies including vans, trucks, trailers, and specialist vehicles
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Fabricate, weld, cut, and fit metal and other materials
- Install vehicle body components and accessories
- Carry out repairs, modifications, and refurbishments
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial vehicle body building or a similar role
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and metalwork
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately
- Good attention to detail and workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are advantageous
