About the Role
Mayglothling Waste Ltd is looking for an experienced and professional Class 1 (C+E) ADR Tanker Driver to join our growing transport team based at our Cardiff depot.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and compliant transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste throughout the UK. Safety, professionalism and excellent customer service are at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a driver who shares those values.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) articulated tanker vehicles.
- Transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste in full compliance with ADR regulations.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reporting.
- Ensure all loads are transported safely, securely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete all transport documentation, waste transfer paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Comply with Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Tachograph Regulations.
- Follow company risk assessments, safe systems of work and customer site rules.
- Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and high standards of housekeeping.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office, customers and site personnel.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid ADR Certificate (Tanks essential).
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous articulated tanker driving experience.
- Good knowledge of ADR regulations and Drivers' Hours legislation.
- Maximum of 3 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN convictions).
- Professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Experience within the waste or environmental sector.
- Vacuum tanker experience.
- Jetting or industrial services experience.
