Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Walker to join our pet care team. This role involves providing reliable and engaging walks for dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with dog walking.
Responsibilities
- Take dogs on scheduled walks in neighbourhoods, parks, or designated areas, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
- Monitor dogs during walks to ensure safety and manage behaviour appropriately.
- Provide basic animal care, including feeding, administering medication if required, and attending to individual needs.
- Maintain clean and organised equipment and supplies used during walks.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour, health status, or any concerns that arise during walks.
- Uphold high standards of safety and hygiene throughout all activities.
- Assist with additional pet care duties as needed, such as feeding or light grooming.
Requirements
- Animal care background is preferred but not essential; a strong passion for animals is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driving licence are advantageous for reaching different walking locations.
- Physical fitness to walk multiple dogs over extended periods and handle active breeds safely.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Genuine love for animals and a caring attitude towards pets of all sizes and temperaments.
- You must hold a valid uk driving license and have access to own vehicle
