Join the team at DSI Shopfitting as a Warehouse Operative, where your energy and attention to detail will drive our day to day operations forward! We are a shopfitting and electrical business that operates nationally throughout the UK. The role is predominantly based at our premises which is in St. Martins (between Wrexham and Oswestry) and you will be responsible for picking materials and loading vans with shopfitting equipment, and unloading any returns once the project is complete. Your tasks will also include managing stock levels, placing orders with suppliers, picking up materials from suppliers and off site deliveries. There may also be a requirement for overnight stays when delivering materials and transport and accommodation will be provided.
In this vital role, you’ll be a key point of contact for both the office team and site teams, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently, shipments are processed accurately, and stock levels are maintained accurately. Your proactive approach will help us deliver excellence every day, supporting seamless operations. Responsibilities
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe and efficient movement throughout the warehouse using manual techniques and mechanical equipment such as forklifts
- Operate forklift trucks safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Picking and packing of shopfitting materials
- Manage shipping and receiving processes and ensuring accurate information is passed on to the office
- Maintaining organised storage areas for easy access and inventory accuracy
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to uphold safety standards and product integrity
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling operations is highly desirable
- Proficiency in operating forklifts
- Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, picking & packing, and stock management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety compliance
- Familiarity with Microsoft office would be useful but not essential
A good level of maths and English is required as well as a full driving licence.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
