FULL-TIME EQUESTRIAN SALES ASSISTANT
Houghton Country – Heddon-on-the-Wall
We’re looking for an enthusiastic new member to join our friendly, close-knit team.
Houghton Country is a busy equestrian and country retail store with a large online presence. This is a varied, hands-on role that includes:
- Helping and advising customers in store
- Sharing your equestrian knowledge and experience
- Picking and preparing online orders
- Processing daily deliveries
- Replenishing stock and keeping the store well presented
- Using our tills and computer systems
- Supporting the wider team with the day-to-day running of the store
- Handling heavy feed bags
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has good equestrian knowledge
- Is friendly, approachable and confident speaking to customers
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Enjoys being active and working in a busy environment
- Is willing to use their initiative and get stuck in
- Is confident using computers and able to learn new systems
- Is reliable, hardworking and keen to develop their knowledge
We use several different tills and operating systems, so confidence with computers is essential. Full training will be provided, along with plenty of product and fitting training, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to learn and progress within the equestrian retail industry.
HOURS
This is a full-time position based at our Heddon-on-the-Wall store.
You will work five days per week, Monday to Saturday, from 9am until 5pm. You will have every Sunday off, plus one regular day off during the week.
As an added bonus, we’re closed on Bank Holidays!
PAY & BENEFITS
