Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior sous chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support food production processes to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Supervise junior team members and coordinate tasks during shifts
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality
- Contribute to menu planning and presentation alongside the culinary team
Skills
- Previous experience in food production or kitchen environments is desirable
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Proven leadership or supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues
- Good communication skills, attentive to detail, and proactive in problem-solving
- Experience in hospitality, including serving customers, is advantageous
