Job Introduction
This is an excellent opportunity to join us in our new depot at Advanced Access Platforms as a Workshop Refurbishment Technician. Your main responsibility is to clean, prep and spray paint a range of scissor lifts and cherry pickers.You will be responsible for the whole program of each machine from start to finish. This role is pivotal to the new refurb centre and wider business and, as such, is key to maximizing output and efficiency. Formal qualifications are not essential as full in-house training will be given to candidate with the right mechanical aptitude, skills or knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of MEWPs for refurb and painting
- Sanding and cleaning of machines
- Removal of stickers and decals
- Assisting Engineers in various other tasks associated with refurbishing machines
- Adhere to H&S rules / procedures at all times
- Assist with, and attend stock takes as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience of working with machinery and tools, both mechanical and electrical (desirable)
- We would consider college a leaver or similar with a relevant mechanical qualification looking for a role to train and progress within
- Formal qualifications not essential as full in-house training will be given to candidate with the right mechanical aptitude skills or knowledge
- ‘Can do’ attitude to work and helping in other areas of the depot
