Job Overview
DDA Haulage LTD are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper / Day Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate large commercial vehicles, with the flexibility of being a tramper or day tipper driver. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods across various locations, maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 truck
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load, secure, and deliver goods accurately to various destinations, following scheduled routes and delivery instructions
- Manage paperwork such as delivery notes, logs, and compliance documentation with precision
- Maintain communication with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and the public
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed loads or similar cargo types
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of road regulations, safety standards, and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
- Prefereably 1 year HGV1 UK driving experience
