Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and delivering Laundry efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. We have regular customers on regular routes which will be done weekly.
The role will primarily be working afternoons and evenings. Monday and Wednesday (Starting roughly around 8.45am and finishing 3.00pm - changes depending on busyness)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Load and unload laundry sometimes already cleaned, often requiring heavy lifting, while maintaining safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with customers during deliveries.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is helpful but not essential.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated, with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
