Nestled in the heart of Borehamwood, Meadowhill Care Home combines modern design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Boasting 75 private rooms and luxurious communal spaces, Meadowhill is tailored to meet the unique needs of residents in a safe and peaceful environment.
As the Activities Lead, you will design and implement a varied programme of events, activities and social opportunities tailored to our residents’ interests, abilities and preferences. You’ll play a key role in fostering a sense of community, ensuring residents live fulfilled and meaningful lives.
About The Role
About the role:

40 hours a week
-
8am - 5pm, covering 5 over 7 including alternate weekends

Develop and coordinate a diverse activities schedule, including social, physical and cognitive activities

Engage with residents to understand their interests and create activities that reflect their individuality

Organise events such as arts and crafts, fitness sessions, musical performances and outings

Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities align with residents’ care plans
-
Lead and inspire a small team of activity coordinators

Maintain budgets and ensure activities comply with health and safety standards

Previous experience working in the care sector

A creative and enthusiastic personality with experience in planning and leading activities, ideally in a care or community setting
