Youth Connect South West (YCSW) is a young people's charity in Bath and North East Somerset. We provide a range of services to support young people to enjoy today, prepare for tomorrow, and become the people they want to be.

We are looking for a Senior Youth Worker to join our dedicated team and lead inspiring, engaging youth programmes in Westfield, and detached youth work sessions in Bath and North East Somerset. This is your chance to take the lead in delivering fun, purposeful sessions that uplift and empower young people and help shape futures full of promise.
Key Responsibilities

Leading youth sessions in BANES

Designing engaging programmes tailored to young people's needs

Managing, supporting, and mentoring a small team of staff and volunteers

Ensuring smooth session delivery with a clear plan and positive energy

Working a pattern that predominantly covers early to late evenings, with some daytime hours
-
Travelling independently to multiple locations to deliver high-quality youth work where it’s needed most
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with young people in varied settings

Strong leadership skills and a collaborative spirit

Creativity, flexibility, and a deep commitment to youth development

Willingness to work a mix of afternoon and evening hours

Ability to travel across Bath and North East Somerset to reach different communities

Salary Information:
We use job evaluation to assess the relative value of roles based on educational standards, responsibility, accountability, complexity, and autonomy. This evaluation determines the role’s position within our pay structure.
Starting pay for new starters is set within the evaluated salary range for the role and is determined by objective criteria including relevant experience, skills and market data. Job evaluation ensures that pay decisions are consistent and defensible.

As part of this commitment anyone working in a post with children or vulnerable groups will be expected to undertake an Enhanced DBS check with/without barred list checks.
