1st Line Service Desk Engineer
Princes Risborough | Full Time | £24,000 to £27,000 per annum

We're looking for a friendly, customer-focused 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join our growing Central IT team based in Princes Risborough. If you're passionate about technology, enjoy troubleshooting issues, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
As the first point of contact for IT support enquiries, you'll provide technical assistance to schools across a variety of systems and technologies. You'll work alongside a supportive team, resolving issues where possible and escalating more complex incidents when needed.
What you'll be doing

Providing first-line IT support via phone, email and ticketing systems.

Diagnosing and resolving technical issues relating to hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and user accounts.

Supporting Windows devices, printers, networking issues and general troubleshooting.

Managing support tickets through to resolution whilst keeping customers updated.

Escalating more complex technical issues to senior engineers when required.

Delivering a positive customer experience and building strong working relationships.
What we're looking for

Previous experience in a Service Desk, IT Support or similar technical support role.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.

Experience of troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues.

Basic understanding of Active Directory and networking.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience within the education sector would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
