An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Specialist Mental Health Law Practitioner for Norfolk.
Working alongside their counterpart in Suffolk, the postholder will be an expert in all aspect of mental health legislation.
The post holder will work across NSFT sites in Norfolk, in order to provide hands on support to clinical staff and provide specialist advice to the Associate Hospital Managers.
The successful applicants will play an important part in helping to ensure NSFT meets its statutory obligations and in delivering on the forthcoming changes to the MHA.
You will report to, and deputise for, the Deputy of Head of Mental Health Law for Norfolk and will support all the senior leadership in the Mental Health Law Team. You will focus on supporting the management of Mental Health Law Administration as it relates to clinical practice and assisting with strategic leadership in the Trust on mental health law matters.
You will provide cover for their Suffolk counterpart . You will work closely together to ensure consistency across the trust and to work on joint projects
The successful applicants will be dynamic and self-motivated, with a passion for safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
Whilst training and professional support will be available, applicants require an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the MHA , MCA and DoLS with experience of working within a complex health or social care organisation.
